Opening act Terry Kelly was a surprise only because of the number of hits that he ran through and the quality of the vocals, and his rapture with the audience, and so on, and so on. This Newfoundlander sure knows how to entertain. Anyone that can joke about the light man ( Terry is blind ) has a sense of humor. Actually, his music is what carried him. Only three backup musicians were all he needed. The sound was crisp, backup vocals were great and Terry's voice was strong. This hour long set ended way too soon, but then again, CCR was to come.Creedence Clearwater Revisited was somewhat of a surprise. Sure all the old songs were here Lodi,Bad Moon Rising, Proud Mary,Green River, Down on the Corner. What was surprising was the quality of the songs. Two original members along with three new members ( such as the Car's Elliot Easton) made these guys forget who John Folgerty is. Each hit sounded just like the original with some extended guitar rifts added to the classics like I Heard It Through The Grapevine, Suzie Q and Run Through The Jungle. If these guys were starting out today, they would still be a hit. Young and old partied for two hours and cheered and rocked to every song. This tour is giving the Baby Boomers a chance to experience the great sounds and songs of CCR and to show the youngin's what great music there was back then. The music still shows alot of interest nowadays. After two encore's the crowd left with a satisfying feeling and a renewed interest in the music of that era. What a great time it was.
