Double, double, toil and trouble... (You'll find I love boring literature.)
By the pricking of my thumbs, something wicked this way comes!

My name is Ragna, and I am formerly a senior at the Palace on Possum Hill (Battery Creek High School) in Beaufort, SC. Now, thanks to the lovely (if not hilarious) graduation ceremony we had on May 26, 1998, I am a freshman at MiraCosta Community College in Oceanside, CA. I am an overachiever, so I won't go into details. I love to write, sing, dance, read, annoy Mike (you'll find out who he is later!) and generaly be an outspoken b****. Sound like a winner, don't I? Some of my proudest accomplishments are not screwing up this page too much, becoming associate editor of my BCHS's school paper, ridding myself of my fear of heights at Carrowinds (I can't believe I went on the Hurler!) and living in my house in Beaufort without going insane. (I was really close, though: I moved the day aftegraduation.) The one thing I can't stand is that I have no luck with guys unless they live far away (like Ben, one of my friends you'll hear about later). I currently have red hair, hazel eyes and glasses. I am 5 foot 8 and 135 lbs. I listen to all types of music EXCEPT country. Is this enough of a teaser for you, or should I stop being manic and go in depth? In depth it is!

Since this place is in Tin Pan Alley, I guess I have to write about music, not that it's any big deal.

I like a lot of different bands, but my favorite type of music is alternative. I also happen to like rap and R&B, but not as much as I like moshing to Prodigy, Bush, Sleater Kinney, Eve 6, No Doubt, Sublime, Aerosmith, Nirvana (R.I.P. Kurt), Hole, KoRn, NIN and certain Beastie Boys songs.

If I can't mosh, then I'll unwind by listening to R&B, pop, mellow alternative or rap (it's weird, I know) like 'N Sync, Will Smith, Third Eye Blind, Semisonic, Sean Lennon, Fiona Apple, Alanis Morisette, Dave Matthews Band, Sugar Ray, Sarah McLaughlin, Beck, Lucious Jackson, Backstreet Boys (By the way, offer up a prayer for Howie D's family, even if you hate the band - his sister just died of lupus.), Usher, Puff Daddy, Biggie Smalls (R.I.P.), , Coolio, Mya, Monica, Master P., Missy Elliot, L.L. Cool J., Babyface, Toni Braxton, Barenaked Ladies, Harvey Danger, Lisa Loeb, and the other Beastie Boys songs. (Can you tell that I like the Beastie Boys?) But my absolute FAVORITE band is...

She's alone in the new pollution!
THE SMASHING PUMPKINS!!!

Isn't this a cool picture? It was from The Simpsons. I just had to put this one on because it made me laugh, especially with Billy's shirt (and the fact he has hair!). I have all their CD's, except two soundtracks. In case you don't know what they are, here is a list in order of their release:

Gish

Siamese Dream

Pisces Iscariot

Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness (a double CD)

The Aeroplane Flies High (a CD collection of singles and b-sides)

Adore

Soundtracks include Ransom, Batman and Robin, and Lost Highway. The Pumpkins rock, even without Jimmy Chamberlain, pictured behind the drums in this picture. James Iha, D'arcy, and (of course) Billy Corgan make a great band, especially with help from the new drummer Matt Walker. Also, James Iha, if you didn't know, has a solo record out. I haven't listened to it yet, but I've heard it's actually pretty good. And, if you haven't heard any songs from Adore yet, be prepared.
