While in the kitchen the women are all preparing a huge festive feast...
Oh yes, we all look forward to the turkey, dressing and all the trimmings...
Yummy...But you know what? There is so much more to it than that...
A time to remember the hardships and accomplishments of our beloved ancestors whom laid the pathway to our world today...
A time to remember that first festive feast of the Indians and the pilgrims, how thankful they were for their many blessings...
So I begin to think of all the blessings in my life...
With these thoughts I begin to remember the birth of my first child, my precious son...
Then years later another miracle, the birth of my precious daughter...
How fast the years have gone by, with this thought, my heart saddens...
With every passing year they grow older, I am so Thankful for them , yes, I would say my children are what Thanksgiving means to me...
Family, friendship, loved ones, those precious children and grandchildren...there is no greater blessing! No greater reason to be thankful!
