Savage Garden Concert Reviews
August 29, 1998: Louisville, KY: Kentucky State Fair

Fan Review

I went to the August 29th Concert In Louisville,  Kentucky. They ended up
doing Ohio before us so ours was the last concert. It was very funny. There were silly string fights and while Darren was singing a boxing glove came and hit him and almost made him stop. Billie Meyers was funny too. She came out in her best Scary Spice outfit shouting, "Spice up your life!" Oh and Lee was standing there playing the guitar in his boxers, that was hilarious!

Darren sang beautifully, And at the end everyone in the Savage Garden
group started to get choked up. And someone wrote we'll miss you on the
drum riser.

Darren also commented between one of the songs, "You know what I think, I think that the Bass Guitar is the sound of sex!" Everyone started to hoot and hollar at that! And when he grabbed his crotch and butt it was as though the whole stadium was gonna fall apart.

I got some pretty good seats too, and I brought my binoculars with, so I got a close up of when he squeezed his butt!

Well the day of the concert was my birthday, what a WONDERFUL gift for me huh? I thought so. I begged my parents for months! Anyway I sent an email to Savage Garden asking if they would please say Happy Birthday to me. In the middle of the concert Darren says, "Someone in the building in
the building is having a birthday today!" Oh,. I got so excited, but it really made my happiness go when Darren said, "Peter!" One of his crewmen, Well it was fun anyway!

Darren is so obsessed with Cherry Cola, My God! He could not stop saying it in the song I Want You! He had us say it a million times.

Well I had brought $65.00 of my birthday money and left with about $2.00
I got the hat and the shirt just the regular one with the skyscrapers and the dragon. And I got the poster (which is hanging above my bed on the ceiling so when I lay down all I see is them!) And I bought 2 bottled waters, but it was WELL worth it to me. That night was the time of my life! I don't think anything could compare, unless I got to meet them face to face. Well I hope you Enjoyed this as much I did.
