Shoeman have reportedly been recording more songs. Along with woolen babies (i get that song in my head, and i havent heard it with the lyrics-al), they have also put down a version of the 'south park' theme song(We make fun of our friends, too.. in the 2nd verse-kent). Their worldwide release of their demo tape might be put off sometime, close to march. That's all for today, you yuppies!

Shoeman play live!
Shoeman, under stress from their record company, me, their fans, the press, and The WWW, had their first REAL show on Friday, January 30th, to a crowd of 40-50 people. it was a show of only covers, as they do not want any of their music heard until all of it is recorded. their set list:

the good in everyone(sloan)
a girl named sandoz(smashing pumpkins)
about a girl(nirvana)
high and dry(radiohead)
march of the pigs(NiN)
big me(foo fighters)
say it ain't so(weezer)
undone-the sweater song(weezer)
shake hands with beef(primus)

and although the show was recorded, some members of the band do not want it released.. The reasons being "well, maybe if it was mixed well.. you can hardly hear anything over the drums.. we were great.. too bad the recording was not."(andy) therefore, i would call it one of those 'hard to get' things.. the first REAL appearance of shoeman was given 4 out of 5 by me, Mr Martyr, one of the lucky ones in attendance. With an addition of Blake Thomson on guitar (new member??), Shoeman sounded very good, although feedback and mic problems through 'high and dry' made it sound sort of sloppy.. March of the pigs, a girl named sandoz, and both weezer covers sounded exellent, and it proved that this band can do it if they want to.

Shoeman calls it quits?

The latest rumors about shoeman (that i head from 'my favorite inside source') is that shoeman is about to call it quits and go their separate ways. It seems that ever since John left, there have been some inside battles to be fought.

On a higher and better note, you can possibly recieve shoeman songs (demo?) by emailing [email protected]

we hope that you will enjoy the shoeman songs, which include:
a girl named sandoz, and Ichabods crane. i am not sure as to whether they will record anymore, considering the rumors. They each have a band to fall back on, i am told... therefore, it would just be a breakup of a great band that only a select view have heard.

warning! this source is only 50% reliable. some stories may/hopefully be falsefied.
