Part 1
"Why am I here?" Krystle said to herself as she looked into the mirror.
Her friend Jennie had brought her to this party, cause she felt that she
needed to get out more. Krystle splashed her face with water and looked
back into the mirror. She began to cry.
"Look at yourself Krys. You're a freaking mess. You ain't good for
nothing." As she cried, she pushed her hand in her pocket and pulled
out a tube of pills. Still crying she opened the bottle and took four
pills. Painfully she swallowed them. As she looked back into the
mirror, she saw her mascara streak across her face. The pills had taken
their course and now she was acting very clumsy. Stumbling, while
standing and watching herself she tried helplessly to clean her face,
"Oh... who cares..." She said as she clumsily strolled out of the
bathroom. Millions of eyes starred at her as she walked down the
hallway.
"WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING AT?" she yelled as she wiped her nose repeatedly.
Jennie saw her from the other side of the room.
"What are you doing?" she said as she pulled her to the side in a
corner. "You didn't take those things again...did you?" she yelled in
her ear. Krystle's eyes flinched as she yelled in her ear.
"You can't tell me...what to do...You're not my...." Krystle began to
cry, she thought of how much she missed her.
"I gotta go" Krystle said storming out of the room where everyone was
dancing. Her eyes went in circles as people bumped her. She was just a
few meters from the door. In a few seconds she would be alone and not
looked upon. She dashed for the door. Unintentionally, she bumped into
someone. She looked up. It was A.J. She looked down at the floor to
hide the tears that were about to come. A.J and her had gone out for
almost three years. And for no reason he broke it off before he left to
go on tour. She had no say in what she wanted because he left the next
day. He never called. He never wrote. He never cared.
"Krystle...Krys.. Is it you?" he said pointing her chin up to him.
Krystle traced his body with her eyes. She missed him so much. She
noticed something that wasn't there before. There was another girl
holding his hand, and it tore her apart as she saw them together.
"Krys... I heard about your parents... I'm so..." Krystle cut him off.
"Don't touch me... I...I hate you...." she blurted out. She pushed
through the couple and ran outside. Outside it was raining hard and she
clasped onto her jacket as she stepped out. As the door shut behind
her, the world around her spun in circles. Her breathing became uneasy
and her eyes fluttered shut. As she ran down the stairs, she lost her
balance and fell to the floor. Collapsed, she lay their life less. Her
breathing had become so scarce; she could have been dead. Alone, with no
one to help her she lay there struggling to breath....
