“I don’t care who you are, where you’re from, what you did, as long as you love me” I sang along with the CD. “Huh, what??” Gail moaned groggily from the front seat, sitting up. “Nuthin’…I’m just singing,” I replied. “Hey! How much longer?” Vic whined from the backseat. I sighed and pulled out the map again to examine it. “It should be just up this hill, right around the corner,” I said while straining to see around the mountain. “Oh wait, there it is! Oooh…how cute?! A little log cabin! It’s awfully small, though…”

We all gasped and sat up at the sight of that cute little log cabin. “Aww…it’s so um…quaint….” I commented. Oh well, I thought…it’ll be fun! Kelly pulled up to the snowy parking lot and we all got out and stretched our legs. “Alright, let’s go in and make sure we still have our reservations” I suggested. My four best friends all agreed and we carefully walked into the lodge.

So we all walked into the warm cabin. There was an elderly man sitting by the desk reading a book. I walked up to the counter while the rest of my friends went and sat down in the lobby by the fireplace. “Excuse me, sir? We have reservations here,” I said leaning against the counter. “Ah, yes, you sure do,” the old man said glancing at his near empty book and adjusting his glasses. “So, what room are we staying in?” I questioned while glancing around the cozy cabin. “Um…let’s see, you’ll stay in that room right down the hall on the right. Our largest suite is taken by another party that has not yet arrived,” the old man explained. “So are we the only people staying here? We didn’t see any other cars outside,” I noted. “Um..yes, well, there is another party, but they have not yet arrived.” “Oh, okay, well thanks.” I walked over to my friends and motioned where we would be staying for the weekend.

“Okay, guys, let’s go get our stuff and get unpacked. I can’t believe we all have to squeeze into that tiny room!” I said while opening the door to the lodge. My friends all agreed and we headed outside. “Hey, Kelly, pop your trunk!” I yelled. “Alright, alright! Just a sec…I’ve gotta find my keys!” she answered digging in her pockets. “Um…guys, I can’t find my keys!!! Where are they?!” she screamed. I started looking through my purse (just in case) while everyone else checked their pockets. I ran back into the lodge to ask the old man if he saw them. Kelly, Claudi, Gail, and I all searched the couches and chairs in the lodge. Hmm…where could they be???

Alright, let’s see…I thought, if I were keys, where would I be? Oh, wait, maybe their under the car! I got down onto the snow and ice on my hands and knees and looked under the car with my butt sticking in the air! “Ugh! They’re not under here!” I yelled frustrated. “Um…excuse me, miss…are you looking for these?” a voice said, while jingling keys. I jerked my head from under the car, my blonde hair blowing in the wind, startled. “Ohmygosh, yes! Where did you find these?!” I said taking the keys from the man’s grasp, not bothering to look up at his face. “They were lying on the ground over their beside our limo,” the guy said to me. I glanced over at the luxurious, white limo and said, “Wow! Nice ride…thanks for the keys. I should go give them to Kelly now. Um…I’m Theresa, you are….??” I questioned while extending my hand. “Oh, um….yeah, sure no problem…hey, I’ve gotta go. See ya around,” he rushed off leaving me wondering who he was. Hmm…I wonder who he is….oh well……

“Ohmygosh!!! You found my keys!!!!” I screamed while running over to Theresa and snatching them from her grasp. “Yeah, well, sorta….this guy gave them to me,” Theresa said. “You mean there are other people here besides us? And guys?!” I exclaimed. My friends all laughed and we walked back outside to start unloading our luggage as I saw the red taillights from another car disappear around the mountain.
