“Hey, guys! Be careful with that stuff…that’s my make-up bag!” I yelled running over to catch it right before it crashed onto the ground. “Gosh, Kelly, it’s just make-up,” Claudi said while rolling her eyes at me. “Hey, shut up! I don’t wanna be stuck on this mountain with no make-up! What if we run into some cute guys or something?!” I debated. “Hmm…she does have a point,” Vic agreed with me. I waited until everyone got their stuff out of the trunk until I got mine out since my stuff was at the back. Everyone was heading inside when I leaned over the back of my Camry and reached in to pull my bags out. As I was turning to push my trunk shut, someone placed their hand on my shoulder and I turned around dropping my stuff and screamed. “Ohmygosh! Sorry…you scared me! I thought I was out here by myself,” I exclaimed as I was face to face with the most gorgeous guy I had ever seen in my entire life. “Oh, baby, I’m sorry…I was just going to ask you, um…wow! You have really pretty eyes,” the gorgeous guy, with the deep voice said to me. I blushed, of course. “Um, thanks…who are you?” I questioned. “No, no…that’s what I was going to ask you…” he said temptingly. I looked at this guy standing in front of me wearing baggy Tommy jeans, Nike shoes, and a plaid Ralph Lauren shirt, and a blue baseball cap on his head, thinking about how cute he was with those chocolate brown eyes and that adorable goatee. “Um…hello? I asked what your name was….” his oh-so-sexy voice brought me back to reality. “Oh! Sorry…I was just thinking… You know, you look very familiar. Have we met before?” I asked rather curiously. “I dunno, you never told me your name. I don’t think I would forget such a beautiful face,” he said while taking his hand and rubbing it gently across my cheek. I blushed once again and held out my hand, “Thank you very much! My name is Kelly. Yours is….?” “You can call me whatever you want, sweetheart” he smiled, while offering to help me carry my luggage. I smiled back at him and replied, “Thanks, but really I can manage my suitcases.” He wouldn’t take no for an answer and I showed him the way to our room. I wonder why he kept avoiding telling me his name…….

I was unpacking my stuff and I got thirsty so I decided to walk down the hall to the drink machine and buy a drink. “I’m gonna go buy a drink you guys. Do y’all want one?” I asked. They all said no, so I grabbed my purse and left the room. I walked up to the machine and placed my 65 cents in and pressed the Sprite button. “Oh, you drink Sprite, too? Cool!” someone said behind me. “What?!” I asked, startled as I swung around and saw a tall, blonde guy standing there with a dollar in his hand. “Sorry…didn’t mean to scare ya, it’s just I saw that you got Sprite. That’s my favorite drink!” he explained. “Oh, sure, no problem,” I said, reaching down to get my Sprite, that wasn’t there. “Hey! Where’s my Sprite?!,” I exclaimed yelling at the machine and then beating the buttons. “Oh, hmm…hey, lemme try something,” the adorable blonde said while walking and to the machine and gently pushing me aside. He then took a few steps back and then ran and bumped the machine making his blonde hair fly everywhere. “Oh no!” I yelled. “Are you alright?” I asked with concern while running over to him and placing my arm around him. “Yeah, um…there’s your drink,” he said pointing to the Sprite that just fell from the machine and smiling at me with his luscious lips. I smiled back and told him thanks. “Hey, lemme buy you a drink for that. You deserve it!” I offered. He tried to refuse but I told him no, so I bought him a drink and turned to give it to him, but he was gone.

I was in my room and felt like playing some basketball. Hmm…I wonder if they have a basketball court or exercise room or something. I pulled my long brown hair into a pony tail and left the room in search of some courts. As I was pulled the door shut, someone bumped into me knocking me down on the floor. “Aww…man! I’m so sorry, are you alright?” the guy questioned while reaching out his hand to help me up. “Yeah, I’m fine. Don’t worry about it.” I said while staring straight into his blue eyes. “Alright, well, hey, I’ve gotta run…I’m going to shoot some hoops. C-ya!” he said while turning to go, spinning the basketball on his finger. “Hey wait,” I said, tugging on the sleeve of his white Nike shirt, “you know where the basketball court is?” “Sure! Were you going there?” he asked, fidgeting with his blue Wildcats hat. “Yeah I was…I love basketball. Only I can’t find out where to go,” I said looking around, yet pleading to him for help. “Don’t worry, hon, just come with me,” he said placing his arm around my shoulder and tossing me the ball. “Ya any good?” he asked. “Maybe…is that a challenge?” I asked teasingly. “It is now!” he laughed and led me down the hall into the indoor basketball court.

I sighed and tossed my empty suitcase into the corner. “I’m soooo bored,” I told Theresa. “Yeah, me too. Where’d everyone go?” she asked. “I dunno where Kelly is…she was out at her car getting her stuff and I haven’t seen her since then. Gail went to buy a drink and Claudi just left to go find the basketball courts,” I replied. “Oh…well, I’ve got to finish unpacking,” she replied placing her jeans into a drawer. “Listen, I’m gonna go look around the lodge for a bit. I’ll be back later.” “Okay, bye,” Theresa said without even glancing up. Hmm…what is there to do here, I wondered. I walked into the lobby and sat down by the fire just thinking. I looked at the coffee table and saw a book lying there. I picked it up and started to read it. Just as I was in the middle of Chapter 1, a tall, handsome man came and sat beside me on the couch. I glanced up from my book and he smiled and said hi. I told him hi and then returned to my book while he continued sitting there. “That’s a good book, ya know,” he blurted out, making a gesture toward the book I was reading. “Oh! You’ve read it?” I asked interested. “Yeah…it’s a thriller, adventure book. Those are my fave!” “Really?! Mine too!” I said as my tummy rumbled. “Yeah…they’re real page turners. I love reading those when I’m on tour, I mean, traveling,” he stuttered out. “That’s cool. Hey, do you know where the snack machine is? I’m starving!” I said glancing around the room. “Yeah, sure. I just went there,” he replied holding up his empty pack of crackers. I laughed, “I see! Hey, could you show me the way?” “Even better…I’ll take ya there…I’m still a little hungry,” he suggested. “Great! Let’s go!” I said as he reached his hand out to help pull me off the couch.

Great, now I’m the only one left here, I thought to myself. What am I going to do? I sat down on the bed and sighed as I thought back to a little earlier when that gorgeous guy gave me Kelly’s keys. I remember his big, brown eyes and cute ponytail. Hmm…I wonder if he’s around anywhere…. “Oh! I forgot my purse in Kelly’s car. I’d better go get it,” I said aloud to myself since no one else was in the room. I walked back outside to Kelly’s car and reached into the car and grabbed my purse. I turned around and was walking back to the lodge when all of a sudden I slipped and fell on the ice. “Ouch!” I exclaimed. “Hey, are you alright?” a familiar voice asked with concern in their tone while helping me up. “Yeah, I just….whoa!” I said as I almost slipped again. I threw my arms around the guys neck for support and said, “Oh hey, it’s you again!” It was the same guy from earlier that I had been thinking about all day. “Yeah…are you sure you’re alright?” he asked again while placing his arm around my waist. “Yeah, my ankle hurts really bad, though” I whined. “Well, here, it’s cold out here…we should get you inside. C’mon” he said lifting me off the ground and carrying me back into the lodge to my room. “Thanks,” I blushed as he gently placed me onto the bed sitting down beside me. “Anytime, baby” he winked.
