Scream Soundtrack TVT Soundtrax 1996 |
| Track List | Review |
| Youth of America (2.5Mb) | This is one of the hidden treasures of the |
| Birdbrain | 90's music scene. The movie was huge but |
| people tended to ignore what great tunes | |
| Whisper | accompanied it. Opening with the fierce |
| Catherine | guitar riffs of Youth of America, one of the |
| best tracks on the CD, there are many | |
| Red Right Hand | different styles of music. However they all |
| Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds | seem to come under the category of |
| alternative. There are brilliant softer songs | |
| Don't Fear the Reaper (3.9Mb) | such as the acoustic Don't Fear the Reaper |
| Gus | and some slightly more upbeat such as |
| Whisper to a Scream and Bitter Pill. Within | |
| Artificial World | all these music genres, there is still room for |
| Julee Cruise with The Flow | the stylish electronic music. The |
| 'Interdimensional Mix' as the song Artificial | |
| Better Than Me | World is referred to combines soft |
| Sister Machine Gun | background sounds with fast drum beats, |
| buzzes and rattles. The instrumental track | |
| Whisper to a Scream | First Cool Hive is characterised by original |
| SoHo | humming and regular piano notes on top of |
| a uniform drum beat. As the song progresses | |
| First Cool Hive | vocal echoes nicely compliment the melodic |
| Moby | hums. The Australian contribution to the |
| soundtrack, Nick Cave's Red Right Hand is | |
| Bitter Pill | distinguished by it's abrupt guitar chords |
| The Connells | and unique riffs as well as Cave's deep, |
| gothic voice and excellent lyrics. The CD is | |
| School's Out | blessed with several other great tracks |
| The Last Hard Men | including a rendition of Alice Cooper's |
| School's Out. Overall the tracks on this CD | |
| Trouble in Woodsboro/Sidney's Lament | are by relatively unknown artists and |
| Marco Beltrami | compliment the movie quite well. |
