Ben Folds first band was called MajoshaIn early of 1988 they played at a battle of the bands at Duke University and won. Ben on bass, Millard Powers on guitar, a man named Dave on drums. There was a fourth guy? Don't know his name. Majosha was spelled with an accent over the o. They dropped it because people didn't realize that it's Muh-jah'-sha not Muh-joe'-sha . They played locally at partiesand had a cd called,

Ben Folds is a funny and a great musician. He is kindto give autographs and talkto fans. He also is a very enthusiastic performer. Hejumps around and throws thingsat his piano to make it an all-around fun time at his concerts.I hope you get to see one.
