The Story So Far...........

Dawson's Creek is a WB drama about four high-school students (in Grade 11), who are 16-17 years old each (although they look much older), and live in Capeside Massachusetts.

The main character is Dawson Leery, an extremely intelligent aspiring filmmaker, and the show is focused around him and his friends. Joey was his friend since early childhood, and she rapidly fell in love with him, and he finally realised his feelings for her, but since they broke up they both had difficulty getting over each other. But Dawson's eye had been caught by another; the new girl in town: Jen. Jen moved to Capeside from New York when her parents discovered her "fornicating in their own bed." She now lives in Capeside with her grandmother, who is extremely conservative, and throws herself to the church and her beliefs. Pacey is the fourth member of their little group. He somehow manages to keep himself in trouble all the time. From his intimate relationship with his English teacher, to flunking every possible course he can, to inviting strange women over to Dawson's house on Friday the 13th, and even to entering himself in Capeside's beauty pageant, Pacey keeps his friends on their toes all the time, while maintaining a nobility only Pacey can have. He has since calmed down though, mostly due to the loving support of Andie.

Since the second season, we have been introduced to a few more characters. Jack and Andie McPhee are brother and sister, and are the remains of the McPhee dynasty. A once great family, their father left and their brother died, leaving their mother a wreck. Andie is having emotional troubles, and has difficulty allowing herself to open up to Pacey. Jack and Joey quickly realised how much they had in common, and after Jack kissed her, she broke up with Dawson and started dating Jack, but they broke up after he came out of the closet. Abby was the school gossip, the girl everyone loves to hate. She tried hard to fit in with the Dawson-Joey-Pacey-Jen-Jack-Andie group, but tried all the wrong ways. The perfect complement to her flirty nature was Chris. He appeared a little later in the season. He's the guy everyone loves to hate, because he's rich, a huge flirt, and will sleep with anything in a skirt. Which makes him perfect for Abby. Abby passed away towards the end of the season, she fell off a pier; and Chris also left the show (vanished into thin air).
