My 10 Least
Favourite Things
-
Snobs
-
Bullies, people
who mess with other people for no particular reason except for the fact
that they are not happy with themselves and the only way to harbor or hide
that self-consciousness is to poke fun at other people.
-
Teachers who like
to sit around all day gossiping with the other teachers and making booty
calls with the class telephone while they should be trying to give US STUDENTS
a somewhat decent learning experience.
-
Hypocrites. Yes,
I know, we can all be hypocrites at SOME times, but people who don't practice
what they preach anger me.
-
Unobservant people
who have no idea what's going on in the world today and take everything
for granted. Example? Let's see, if you're over 15 and haven't heard of
WCOTC or you have no idea what the words homophobic, aryan, or intolerant
mean, you make me sick. Not really, but take the time to know what's
happening with your world.
-
Unappreciative,
unmannerly people. I'm from the South and saying Yes Ma'am/Sir is like
a way of life. It shows respect but I'm not talking about that law they
passed here that requires minors to reply to anyone over 18 as Yes Ma'am/Sir...I'm
talking about the people that ask to borrow pens but never return them.
The people who disrespect adults. The people who bump into you in the hallways
and instead of saying "excuse me" they roll their eyes or say something
with a hint of cynicism. They have a way of pissing me off.
-
Not enough
volunteering efforts in my area. We have a few organizations in Monroe,
like the YMCA, YWCA, United Way, all places we can help out but it seems
that there aren't people stampeding to sign up for the improvement of our
community. I signed up for the United Way this summer but my mother never
returned my application--I guess procrastination runs in my family.
-
Mean people.
I don't like mean people. I'm nice but I'm miserable most of the time but
don't confuse being miserable with being mean...for my sake.
-
Paranoid
people...you know, the peeps who start looking *scary*(uh, that's slang
for "scared" here) whenever you laugh. They think you're talking/laughing
about/at him/her. Only because they're insecure. I fall into this category
and I have a somewhat significant degree of self-loathing so I had to put
it on this list. I really don't hate all you paranoid folks. No, seriously,
I don't.
-
Fake people.
People who pretend to be things they aren't. I sometimes fall into this
category whenever I'm feeling like conforming--which isn't very often so
don't hold it against me...Like when people ask me if I like rap...I say
"yes" sometimes, but I really don't. I only say "yes" b/c I go to a predominantly
black school and I have a conscious fear that someone will point and laugh
if I say I think rap is bad--not all rap...Erykah Badu, the Roots, Lauryn
Hill, DMX---they're all good. I guess this fear is rooted from my evident
paranoia of society. Ok, I'm not paranoid all the time of everything. Only
when I'm awake.
-
I can't stand
it when so-called "Christians" point and talk about people who are different.
THey're so enthralled--or rather, preoccupied with the lives of others
that they forget--or actually ignore, the events and shortcomings of their
own lives.
