Neil Peart is the multitalented drummer/songwriter for Rush. However, Peart wasn't originally Rush's drummer: John Rutsey was. Rutsey and the band had an amicable split up after their first album, "Rush", was released. This was due to Rutsey's poor health. Peart immediately added new dimensions to the band, with his intricate playing and thoughtfull lyrics.

Alex Lifeson is the lead guitarist of Rush. He provides the scorching solos and incredible playing that are signatures of Rush, despite the fact that he taught himself to play. Like Peart and Lee, Lifeson is highly regarding for his outstanding playing.

Geddy Lee provides the booming bass lines and unique vocals to Rush. Like Lifeson, Lee has been around since the beginning. Also like his band mates, Lee is known as one of the best of his group. His all over the place style has influenced many current bassists, and has won him much acclaim.
