Gabe started making beats on a MIDI sequencer in 1994. His desire to hear his music became nearly intolerable after working with multiple bands. With only a few rough recordings to listen to, he decided to start recording his own bass, guitar and drum tracks with a keyboard and a Mac Plus running "Band in a Box".
Technology improved, and so did Gabe's horizons.
By 1992 he sequenced his first house track. Many friends heard it and by 1994, Gabe was introduced to to the first rap artists he was to work with. "Manip" and "D" inspired him to make rap beats as they floated on the microphones, freestyling with confidence and intelligence. "Sal-loc" inspired him to use raps as a source of venting frustration.
By 1996, Gabe recorded his first written rap. It was about the pains of life haunting him during a bad hallucinagenic trip. Dissappointed, he practiced more.
Around 1997, he began to freestyle and started to assume the name "Doose" as a title. It would take four years of practice, self-education and tedious work before he would record his first rap Demo in 2000.
By the year 2001, he would take the name, "Habit".
He is currently working with a various group of rappers and other musicains. Among them, "Manip", who he has not worked with in over 3 years, and "Flaming Heaven 196 AOF", a raging demon of anger. Gabe will be recording his first full-length rap album entitled, "Aggrevated Assault" and expects to have it finished before the end of the year.
