Harpist and Composer 

Abel Sanchez

        He was born in Mauricio José Tróche December 29 1934. It began their harp studies, being boy, with their uncle. Later, in the capital, it was part of the group The Children of the Forest and after The Indians with the one that participated of tours for Europe, Africa and Asia, starting from 1956. He returned to the country in 1962 and he/she studied theory and I sol-fa with Cirilo Fretes Franco and Luis Cañete. Parallelly it perfected their instrumental technique, becoming an authentic concertist of Paraguayan harp.

        He investigated the possibilities of the harp, contributing a series of innovations that   allow the semitone interpretation, and the improvement of the sound. He is author of a teaching method for correspondence.

        It composed some seventy works, most stops their instrument, among those that are better known: Jeroky jave, Kisses of love, Austria, the dancer, Reasons of a day of rain and Fabulous Itaipú.
