Guitarist

        She was born in Asunción in 1960. She studied with Flat Felipe and Violeta Mestral. In 1986 it traveled to Montevideo, Uruguay where she studied, during several years, in the University School of Música Mario Payseé, receiving the Licentiate in Guitar. She stands out like one of the celebrated teacher's Abel Carlevaro main pupils.

        It participated in numerous international seminars of guitar with teachers like: David Russel, Benjamín Verdery, Sharon Isbn, Carlos Barboza, Jorge Martínez Zárate and Graciela Pomponio. She also received lessons of Eduardo Fernández. It acted in Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, United States, England and Paraguay, as camera orchestras' soloist.    

        It was rewarded in national competitions organized by Friends of the Art Center Cultural American Paraguayan (CCPA), and of Musical Youths, and the Camará Junior of the Paraguay, that same year internationally debuted in the Purcell Room of London and in 1993 in the Hall of the America of Washington.

        In 1994 it was the main promoter of the International Festival of the Guitar organized by the Japanese Paraguayan Center and that it had John Williams's presence, in homage to the fiftieth anniversary of Agustín Neighborhoods' death.

        It recorded in Montevideo the CD: Berta Red intepreta to Agustín Barrios (I Seal it Nails 1992).

        It is resided in Uruguay, from where she is projected internationally, being presented regularly in Asunción. In 1996 she received the Kennedy Center scholarship to be perfected in the USA.
