Guarania

Urban popular song. After successive experiments, the young Paraguayan composer José Asunción Flores created in the year 1925 the Guarania. It is a song of sentimental court and musical form of characteristic singular.

According to Mauricio Cardozo Ocampo, the Guarania it is << daughter of the purahei asy, because it conserves their spirit >>. At the beginning of the decade  of the twenty the Paraguayan musicians  look for the form of writing in the score the rhythm of the polka. The few learned musicians were Italian or Spanish and they could not capture the syncopated rhythm and the polirritmia, characteristic of the Paraguayan music. Flores experienced with the polka,    Maerapa reikuase of Rogelio Recalde, playing it with slow movements  to facilitate their reading - with the musicians of the Band of the Police of the Capital. This way he found a road for new expression forms. The first three official creations appeared in 1928 and fuern: Jejui (disappeared today), Kerasy and Arribeño resay that quickly reached popularity, and at the beginning, not little resistance, among the conservative musicians. The name Guaranai was put by Flores, motivated by the reading from the poem Song to the race (1910) of Guillermo Molinas Rolón (1892-1945) that says in a part: "and it was also Guarania, engaged region as dream earth, of illusion and of life, earth where the flowers santuarias of robust passions and gestes fabularias were born...." during the decades of 1950 at the 70 had intents, directed from the spheres of the government of Stroessner, to subtract to Flores the paternity of the creation.

Known Internationally is the Guarania: India, Recuerdos del  Ypacaraí, Mis noches sin tí. In the year 1945 the Government from the Paraguay conferred him the range of National Music for Ordinance ofthe Executive Power. Starting from 1950 José Asunción Flores it began in road toward  the call  "hierarchization" of the Guarani, rainting  symphonic works as Mburicaó, María de la paz, Pyhare Pyte and Ne rendape aju.

Most of the composers, starting from the decade of 1940 Guarania have written like: Herminio Gimenez (Lejanía, Mi oración y others), Demetrio Ortiz (Recuerdos del   Ypacaraí, Mis noches sin tí), Mauricio Cardozo (Mi destino, Regalo de amor), Emigdio Ayala Báez (Mi dicha lejana, A mi pueblito Escobar), Eladio Martínez (Ofrenda a mi amada), Florentín Giménez (Así canta mi patria) countless more.
