| Generic Records is one of Houston's newer labels, but already they have made an impact on the scene. Unlike many labels Generic records has impact throughout Texas with bands from all over the state. This company helps its label mates with booking (not just locally) and distribution (those of you with previous band experience know how important that is). | I've got to give this company credit. I have never seen such a small company rise to success so quickly. Everywhere I go I hear about their booking dates and the cool concerts. This is one label that really looks after their bands. Troy Morvant--CEO and the person who contacted me--commented that he enjoys his work and wants to support the scene anyway he can.
