I'll tell
you a tale,
Of the
ocean blue,
Of creatures
called myth,
Though
some swear myth to be true
On a great
ship,
I once
sailed away,
And between
the farthest shores,
Did my
heart run astray
A story
of courage,
Of love
and of fate,
Of murmurs
on the waves,
As the
morning surf breaks
A long time
ago,
Long before
you found this life,
On this
very shore,
A young
sailor arrived
Awash in
his sorrows,
Awash in
his fears,
His ship
dashed aground,
The only
thing he held dear
Lonely years
passed,
Like time
standing still,
And so
the sailor lived,
Heart in
mourning and his soul unfulfilled
Out of the
sea she came,
Pure beauty
shining white,
And on
that brilliant summer morn,
The sailor's
lonely heart took flight
Silent as
the night,
She never
spoke a word,
Reaching
out to him gently,
How her
gentle touch burned
Into his
arms she went,
Slipped
into his embrace,
Her lips
met his,
How their
hearts did race
Countless
days their souls entwined,
Their love
unspoken in the fading light,
But for
all the moments of bliss there by the sea,
Their love
I'm afraid was never meant to be
One quiet
morn,
The sailor
woke alone,
Eyes wet
with tears,
And once
more on his own
His heart
shattered wide,
He stood
at the shore,
His hope
drained away,
Till the
tears came no more
One glorious
day,
A ship
finally sailed in,
And this
lost soul they saved,
Brought
him back where he'd been
Memories
faded fast,
Days turned
into years,
And the
sailor found new love,
And the
sailor found new tears
Yet summer
morns,
he wanders
along the shore,
Watching
the setting sun,
Feeling
that gentle breeze on his skin once more
And every
once in a while
To this
very day,
He'll swear
on his life,
If he wanders
your way,
That sometimes
he sees,
There in
the waves,
A vision
in white,
With the
most loving smile on her face
And he'll
tell you a tale,
Of a journey
on the ocean blue,
Of creatures
called myth,
Though
some swear myth to be true
