GO, DARREN AND DANIEL!!!!!!! Some very special news for the guys this
week!
Read on to find out what it is! But first, rumor has it the video collection
that's being released is the one that was released in Japan. Just a
few more
weeks to see what it is!! And yet some really depressing news to report.
Looks
like we Savage Gardeners are going to have live off our CDs and taped
TV
appearances for a while. For a REALLY long while....

**Scary enough, [email protected] has informed me that Darren and Daniel
are
making frequent appearances in teenybopper mags! They are now in the
new issue
of Teen Beat, which is one of those little wallet thingies. This is
the
December ish (ok, another problem I have with teenybopper mags: why
do they
release the mags so darn early!? It's September for crying out loud!!!).
Anyhoo, thanks to Kim for the info!
**It's time for the ARIA (Australian Recording Industry Association,
basically, America's Grammy awards) NOMINATIONS!!!!!!!!! Savage Garden
are up
for Best Group again (the guys took that award home last year), Australian
Producer of the Year (Charles Fisher), and Highest Selling Australian
Album.
At the nominations event, Darren and Daniel were given a special Outstanding
Achievement award for their international sales of eight million copies
for
their CD and also for being one of only three Australian groups to
top the
charts in the U.S. Way to go, Darren and Daniel!!! We're so proud of
you!!!

**Here's the depressing news I told you about. [email protected] has
been
keeping me updated lately on whether or not there'd be a new single
of TTMAB
released in the US, since he works at a music store. Well, the answer
is no.
But not only that, the re-release is the last we'll hear of Darren
and Daniel
for a very long time. We're not getting anymore singles off the album
and
won't until the new album is released. But wait - there's more! Darren
and
Daniel aren't heading back to the studios until January, which means
we won't
get the new album until fall of '99. So prepare yourselves, people,
this will
be the longest year of your entire lives! And now that I really get
my
thoughts rolling...what am I gonna do about the SGer?! If I have no
news to
report, what's the point of doing a newsletter?? I guess I could take
a very
long vacation. Hmm...anyone want to offer suggestions?
**On the Billboard charts, this week To the Moon and Back is at #39
and Truly
Madly Deeply is enjoying a re-surge in airplay at the #21 spot. However,
great
news for the album itself!!!! The album is this week's Greatest Gainer
on the
Billboard charts, jumping up 7 spots to #27!!!!

Last week's trivia question was what special thing is Daniel doing to
get over
his fear of flying? The answer is: <insert drumroll here> actually
learning to
FLY a plane!!! While Darren quotes it's the only thing that "scares
the hell"
out of him, Daniel realized the only thing that scared him about it
was not
knowing how it works. But Darren says that it's really scary, because
they'll
be flying and hear this sound and Daniel will call out what exactly
is making
the noise, which REALLY scares Daz because Dan is supposed to be cool!!!!

Hi Lauren! I'd just like to say that I LOVE break me shake me!! Their
making a
single on it? That's great! Break me shake me and ttmab are my fave's.
Oh, and
I didn't make it to the Louisville conert (that's where I live) but
my local
radio station 99.7 WDJX said that they would give 2 SG tickets to the
first
two people who came down to the station to moon them!! They were also
entering
everyone who won tickets into a drawing for a telescope signed by Daz
and Dan
so they could see to the moon and back!!! Bye! Patiently waiting for

Yesiree Bob! Break Me Shake me was originally going to succeed Truly,
but with
the success of Truly, the guys decided to give their personal fave,
To the
Moon and Back, a second try. I'd expect BMSM to be released in October
sometime (unless [email protected]'s right and we won't see anymore
SG for a
while, perhaps it's coinciding with the video collection tape?) BTW,
there are
rumors that the tape WILL be the one released in Japan). And hey, just
for the

Hey Lauren! First of all, I want to thank you for telling us about
the Rosie
performance, and as soon as Rosie was saying "I heard this song
almost twp years ago... ect.." I was thinking of you! But your right,
there
was something diffrent about Darren. One thing was that I think he
had just
woken up because even when he did open his eyes they were rather squinty.
But
he shaved also for the first time in quite a while, that was another
thing
that made him look diffrent, a bit more clean cut.
Ok, the other reason I'm writing is to tell you, and all the readers
of the
SG'er if you decide to put this in there (please?!) that I have finished
my
fanfic story, titled "The Savage Vampire". The URL is and it
will soon be up
on my site Savage Garden's Domain. Its very loosely based around "Interview
With The Vampire", but only a very little bit. Anyhow, I hope everybody

I caught the last bit of hard rock live (the last minute of I Want
You)and I
noticed that Darren was NOT wearing his wedding ring but if you look
closely
Daniel is wearing a ring on his wedding finger! I was like uhh.. whats
wrong
with this picture. Am I just messed up Or isen't Darren supose to be
the
marrid one. Just though you'd liek to know!!
EEEK!! More "Are they, are they not?" questions! Actually, while my
mom was
watching it with me, she pointed that out too (she's become totally
obsessed
with the fact that now that Darren's famous he's going to dump his
wife!).
Obviously since I'm not in contact with Dazza (too bad!), I don't and
will
never know for sure. But Colby DID join them in the middle of the tour
and I
know that for a fact. And since the HRL performance was taped before
they
embarked on tour, I'd have to say I really really really doubt it!!
As for
Danny's ring, I've seen that in extremely early pictures. Most likely
just an

at a Dutch tvchannel called TMF. (The Music Factory) Being supervideo
means
they'll play it a couple of times everyday and it's kind of a special
thing,
