Invitation to Join 'Truly Savage'...

Well, by now most of you know I'm (Lauren) leaving the SGer, but passing
it on to a friend of mine, Tammy. A reason I don't explain in the SGer
about my departure is because of the Savage Garden fanbase. Well, the new
one that seems to have taken over. I don't sense the genuine, enthusiastic
spirit that it used to be, and that disappointed me because it used to
be such a cool thing to be a part of. I realized that I do still want to
have a part in the fanbase, but that the Sony BBS and even the SGer have
been infiltrated by the newer fanbase. Actually, the BBS is run by this
particular fanbase. As you all know how much I hate that place, obviously
I wasn't going to venture there and attempt to get into that clique. But
I want to be able to discuss the music and share opinions. So I decided
to start this mailing list, TrulySavage, for the members of the old fanbase,
or at least, people who are like what the old fanbase used to be, for the
true fan. You're the people I want to continue to be in contact with and
share news and opinions with. You won't be judged here - if you have a
negative opinion you can say it without getting tons of messages slamming
you and your opinion. You won't be completely censored if you *respectfully*
inquire about Savage Garden's personal lives. There's nothing wrong with
innocent curiosity, as Darren himself has said, but if you go to the BBS
you're crucified for speaking out about it. So basically, this is my little
attempt to resurrect the fanbase I so dearly miss!"
