After a few minutes of kissing, AJ and Calista pulled apart and just stared at each other. A surge of electricity shocked Calista as it traveled from her head to her spine and traveling all the way down to her back. He felt it too. Even in the dark theater they were staring into each others eyes. They finally turned their attention back to the movie and were silent throughout the second half. Just as the movie ended Calista remembered something. She looked back over to where Michelle and Nick were sitting. They werent making out anymore, they were just sitting there watching the screen. Neither of them looked like they were too happy.
AJ. We should go before they see us.
Yeah your right. The two got up together and left the theater. They didnt know that Nick and Michelle had seen them kissing earlier. As they left the theater AJ tried calling Calista but she was trying to avoid him as much as she could. When they reached his car, he pulled on her arm and turned her around so that she was facing him.
What? She looked him in the eyes. He noticed that the expression on her face and in her eyes was a cross between confusion and frustration.
We need to talk. He looked deep into her eyes. His knees went a little weak as he stared at her.
No we dont theres nothing to talk about.
What about that kiss?
The kiss was nothing! We were just doing it because we both want other people and we know that we cant have them! She was lying now. That kiss had meant something to her. She couldnt put in into words. The truth is is that she was confused. She wanted Nick but her heart yearned for AJ.
I want you to look me in the eyes and tell me that that kiss meant nothing to you. She looked up at him. She stared into his eyes and opened her mouth to say it, but somehow she couldnt do it.
~~~~~ Nick and Michelle walked out of the movie theater a while later.
So, how did you like the movie? Nick was trying to break the ice. Neither of them had said much during the movie. But then again, they were in a theater, a place where people go to watch a movie not make casual conversation.
It was okay. I liked the first half better though. She looked up at him and smiled. She was referring to their little make-out session. She turned around and was now facing the parking lot. She saw AJ and Calista at AJs car.
Hey, its AJ and Calista. She pointed them out. She didnt want to mention that she saw them in the theater. She didnt know why, but somehow it bothered her to see the two of them kissing. They walked over to AJs car. AJ and Calista were just staring at each other and Calista looked like she was about to cry.
Hey you guys! What are you doing here? He tried to avoid the subject of them kissing in the theater.
I told you Nick. AJ and I were getting together tonight. We just decided to catch a movie. So how has your date been so far?
Really good I think. What do you think Michelle? Nick said with a smile then he looked down at Michelle.
Its been good so far. Calista, your best friend here is really amazing! She smiled warmly at Nick. He bent down and gave her a peck on the lips.
So, hows your guys date going? Asked Nick. He was totally oblivious to Calistas feelings towards him.
How bout I show you Nicky? Without waiting for a response from anyone, Calista wrapped her arms around AJs neck and kissed him very passionately. He got into it. When they pulled away they were both light headed. Calista was happy. She had decided that she wasnt going to linger on Nicks every move with Michelle. She really liked AJ and he liked her in return.
Nicks eyes were wide and his jaw was dropped a little, as was Michelles.
AJ, do you want to go back to my house and watch a movie? She was still staring at him.
Uh yeah. Sorry guys. Enjoy the rest of your date you two. He got out his keys from his pocket and unlocked the door for Calista.
Yeah you two. Go out and have fun. Close your mouth and go out and have a great time. I know we will. She gave Nick a sly smile and got in the car.
Bye Nick. AJ unlocked the drivers side door and got in. He turned on the ignition and pulled out of the parking lot.
Well, they looked happy. Michelle said. She was still shocked at what had just happened.
Uh yeah. I guess thats one way of saying it. He was still shocked himself. He felt like a little piece of his heart was just ripped off.
