Calista opened her mouth to talk when the doctor came in.

�Hello Calista. How are you feeling? How�s your neck?�

�Well, the pain killers are working at least. I�m fine I guess.�

�Okay. Well, your friends can only stay for a few minutes there are still a lot more tests we need to run.�

Calista frowned. �Okay.�

The doctor left the room.

�Anyway, I think we all know what�s been going on between us.�

�Yeah! Like you kissing another guy!� AJ yelled impatiently.

�Well you kissed another girl! So don�t blame it all on me!�

�God you two! Can�t you stop fighting?� Michelle screeched from her chair.

�Look, Calista is right. I think we�re all just confused.�

Everyone was quiet for a moment. Calista looked up at AJ. She really liked him and it made her stomach turn to see him kissing Michelle. �How could he kiss her after that wonderful night we had together?� A smile played across her lips as she remembered that night at the pool. She shivered at the memory of AJ�s bare skin against her hands.

AJ looked up at her. As if reading her thoughts, a smile crept upon his lips. �I really do like that girl! She�s so spontaneous, I can never guess what she�s going to do next.�

Michelle looked up from the ground. AJ and Calista were staring at each other. �I knew it. He likes her. How could I be so stupid?� She couldn�t stand it anymore.

�So, what should we do about it Calista?� Her voice came out a little cold although that�s not how she meant it.

�How should I know?�

�Well I think it�s obvious what you want!� Michelle snapped back.

�And what would that be Michelle?�

�You want AJ!� Michelle yelled back.

Calista fell quiet.

�No, she wants Nick.� AJ said quietly, almost sadly.

Calista looked at AJ with sad eyes. He looked back up at her.

Nick saw them and now he couldn�t handle it anymore.

�I think Michelle is right.� Nick stated from his chair.

Calista looked at him in surprise.

�What?� Calista nearly gasped.

�It�s completely obvious that you two have this weird sexual tension thing goin� on.� Michelle stated a little more calmly.

�Sexual tension?!� Calista couldn�t believe her ears.

Before anyone could say anything more, the doctor walked back in and told everyone that they had to leave.

Everyone was speechless. They just muttered good bye and left.

Over the next week Doctor Hayes was surprised at Calista�s fast recovery. She had no major injuries and looked better every day. He did say however that it wouldn�t be a good idea to do real aggressive gymnastics for a few months.

Calista�s friends and mother visited her quite often and whenever AJ or Nick visited, they never said anything about what had happened. Michelle only visited her twice and sent her a lovely bouquet of flowers.

Calista was reading �Seventeen� magazine when Doctor Hayes came in.

�Well Calista, it looks like you can go home tomorrow. I�m sure you�ll be very happy to get home.�

�Yeah! I miss my own bed!�

�Well I�m sure your friends will be happy to have you home.�

Calista sighed. �Yeah. I�m sure.�
