Venom's first singer used to paint his face black and white just like today's black metal bands.He later quit because things didn't turn out the way he thought they would.However there was something that reminded him he played with Venom:his backyard was ruined as it was used as a firework test ground!
Cronos screwed his first chick when he was 10 years old.
As he recalls in a Kerrang! interview:
"I got into chicks really early. In fact, I screwed my first chick
when I was ten years old in Junior School whilst in the craft room
making a mosaic! I saw this chick and we just got it together, then
I went home and told my parents ... it seemed the natural thing to do!"
That weird sound on the first seconds of "In League With Satan" is Cronos' voice played backwards,
echoing the words spoken by little Linda Blair on "The Exorcist"

In order to get that roaring grinding intro on Black Metal,Venom used a chainsaw to cut through a door.
Also on Buried Alive they piled lots or earth and dust in the studio and actually buried the microphone in order to get that "from the coffin" intro.
Venom were the first band in Greece who went by their own will to a record store to sign autographs and meet fans.
The song Countess Bathory refers to countess Elisabeth Bathory,a middle ages Countess who used to bathe in the blood of young virgin girls from the nearby village.
The girl on the cover of Possessed is Abaddon's daughter.
Cronos is an aerobics instructor and Mantas has his own gym (now doing aerobics and listening to Venom and having Cronos show you the exercises is something everyone would want!)
Venom recorded Welcome To Hell in 3 days,and Black Metal was done in 6 days.As Cronos recalls:

However Venom always played Witchin Hour at the end of the concert and most of the times they used to time it so that they started playing it on midnight!
In their first days,Metallica were opening the concerts before Venom's performance.
