When they were formed in late 70's they were a 5 member group called
Oberon However Mantas asked Cronos,
who was the guitarist that time to sing "Live Like An Angel,Die Like A Devil",that he just
wrote.Cronos did sang the song and everyone loved it.At the same time Abaddon had arranged
for the band to play to a club. There was no bass player however so Cronos decided to learn
how to play bass, since he thought it wasn't that difficult. That was it,the blackest, darkest
,scariest band on the planet was born. When others were singing "Wheels Of Steel",Venom
released Welcome To Hell and spread chaos. From then
on the story goes on and on,scarier and scarier...

a copy of Venom:the members of the groups all have nicknames, the band
and song names are taken directly or indirectly from Venom and more...
I can list thousands of bands that were influenced by Venom. Most
of these bands are considered the best in the metal scene now. Some others however don't admit that, probably because they're not brave
enough to admit that they were not pioneers and didn't dare to do something new or even didn't know how to do it and instead copied the pioneers and creators of Black Metal and tried to gain glory and riches from this. You all know who i'm talking about...
