Those BSBs won't forget '98 in a hurry! They rocked the US, won an MTV award, beat health problems and started their new album! We had a chat and got all the goss!

Now that you're famous in America, are you scared there's no country left to hide in?
Brian: No, we're not afraid of that! We want that kind of success. We like it if we go shopping and 50 people end up following us!

Are you amazed at how your fans manage to find out wherever you are?
Kevin: Yeah - they know where we are going to go before we do!
AJ: We ask them whatever we want to know about what's planned for us in the future! They are very smart and if we had a little more time, we'd better at playing hide-and-seek!
Nick: We had to employ an extra security guy now. We've got one each!

Do you ever worry that success won't last?
Howie: Yeah, that is kind of scary. You wonder if your audience is going to grow with you - keep with you or choose to go somewhere else (We don't think so!). That can be frightening.

What's the story with the BSB movie?
Brian: It's coming out next week! (laughs)
Kevin: No! We've been offered scripts a lot, but we really want to focus on the music. We still have a lot to do in that direction!
Howie: But we like to keep people surprised! Maybe down the road a little we might see what happens.

You guys never seem to stop working. Do you ever take a break?
Brian: We take a few days off here and there!
AJ: We take a proper holiday around Christmas. We have an extended break with our families, and grab a few days off.

Brian and AJ have been in hospital recently. Anyone else worked so hard they've been ill?
Nick: I got heat exhaustion once. It was summer on Florida, and it got so hot that I was exhausted! So I went to the doctor and he told me take a few days off.
Kevin: But we're good about it. When we get tired, we have days off - we relax and have some fun. We're having a lot of fun!

Nick, what do you think of Aaron's success?
Nick: He's having the best time! It's great when we meet up with him.
Kevin: Yeah. We know he's arrived in town when we hear him running down the hotel lobby screaming "Nick! Nick!"

How long can you see yourselves keeping the Backstreet Boys going?
Kevin: Until it's no fun. When the fun stops, so do we. That's the time to consider going and doing something else.
AJ: We'll keep going as long as our music lasts in people's hearts!
