SLUGWRENCH
- PROLE
Ambient-Industrial-noise soundscapes crash into simulated power-chords and curious chaotic blips and chunky samples. 75 minutes of unrelenting aural assault. Although sometimes lacking coherance due to unconventional song structures, a few tracks stand out: Slugwrench Love Song, which includes a piano like simplicity, and proves Slugwrench CAN do it if they want to, Interlude sounds like a space movie soundtrack, Dissolve is a totally evil track, and Meek keeps it together with a strong beat. Most of the songs sound unfinished, though, and come off more like a jam session than an album. Definitely for fans of Download, Einsturzende Neubauten and the like. [3/5]
