A.J. McLean is "doing great" and is ready to get back on the road with
his fellow Backstreet Boys, bandmate Howie Dorough said on "TRL."
"[A.J.] looks great he's put on a little bit of weight, his hair is
platinum blond," Dorough told "TRL" host Carson Daly on Friday (August
17). "He's really psyched to get back out there he can't wait."
McLean, who entered rehab last month for treatment of alcohol abuse, depression and anxiety, recently began care at a "transitional care" facility in Los Angeles
After postponing their tour twice because of McLean's problems, BSB say they plan to go back on the road beginning August 24 in Milwaukee.
The "TRL" audience cheered as Dorough said that the time off turned out to be a blessing for the whole group.
"It was definitely an unexpected break here that we had," Dorough said. "We took advantage of it we're all rested up now, we're psyched up, we're ready to get back out there. We've had a chance to sit back and really think about all this [the break] gave us a chance to really reevaluate our lives and our careers and our health."
