Can you hear us?
Brian:
Yes, I can. Can you hear me?
Host:
Yes we can hear you just fine. You and your wife are trying to do something special on behalf of Danny Lee, the roadee that
you lost in the crash and tell me what it is the two of you are doing.
Brian:
We're actually setting up a fund for Kellie Lee, his wife. They had two daughters. 2-year old Amanda, and their newborn
Allison Danielle, and what want to do is try to create awareness and raise some money for them and their family. They were fairly
close to our organization. Daniel was a carpenter underneath the stage, and been with us since this past January when we started
the tour. And we just wanted to create a little bit of awareness and show the bond that we had with our family, and help Kellie Lee in
supporting with her two daughters.
Host:
Kellie Lee. Actually Danny Lee was on his way home. Correct? To be with his wife because she had a baby, two days after.
On the 13th. Correct?
Brian:
Yes, that is correct.
Host:
Boy, that's hard to take.
Host 2:
And it should be interesting to note that the Backstreet Boys have always been a very proactive group before, they've always
been a philanthropic. Their management company, The Firm. You guys also contributed to the Clear Channel fund, a large amount of
money. You also took part in Jerry Stackhouse's radiothon in Detroit, you and Kevin. Is there other plans for the Backstreet Boys as
far as charity and the relief effort?
Brian:
Well, I know that we just finished our Canadian segment of tour up in Montreal and Toronto. And that was something that was
very important to us. The Canadian fans have been so very supportive. We've actually donated 50 cents of each ticket that went to
the relief fund to help the families, the fire fighters, and the police officers and families who've lost their loved ones. And I'll tell you it's
a great experience being on stage in Canada performing and them waving American flags out in the audience because it's never
better of a time to be an American. I'll tell you that. We're proud to be an Americans.
