Backstreet Boys, Brad Pitt and Julia Roberts Among
Winners of Rit Dye Entertainment Style Awards
Internet Voting Decides the Most Stylish and Stylishly
Worn Costumes in Film, TV and Music Videos
ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J., April 16 /PRNewswire/ -- The
public has spoken on who looked the best onscreen this
year, as voting has concluded on the Rit Dye
Entertainment Style Awards, honoring the most stylish
-- and stylishly worn -- costumes in film, TV and
music videos, with stars such as the Backstreet Boys,
Brad Pitt and Julia Roberts taking top honors.
The public logged onto www.ritdye.com to make their
opinions count during voting that finished on April 8.
Male and female celebrities were selected in each
category based on the uniqueness of their characters'
wardrobe and the style and panache with which the
costume was worn.
The most resounding victory was posted by the
Backstreet Boys, whose ``Drowning'' video took more
than 50 percent of the votes cast in the male music
video category, outdistancing nearest competitor Usher
(nominated for ``You Got It Bad'') by almost a
three-to-one margin.
Two categories came down to the wire. Destiny's Child
(``Bootylicious'') edged Britney Spears (``I'm A Slave
For You'') by the scant margin of 25.6 percent to 24.1
percent in the female music video category, while
Julia Roberts (``Ocean's Eleven'') held of Reese
Witherspoon (``Legally Blonde''), 36.7 percent to 33
percent in the film actress category. Roberts'
``Ocean's Eleven'' co-star Brad Pitt also won for film
actor.
Winners in the television categories were Sarah
Michelle Gellar for ``Buffy the Vampire Slayer'' and
Matt LeBlanc for ``Friends.''
