WOT NXT (left to right) Stephen Buttler, Paul McAuley, Robbie Maye,
Jay Magee and Gavin Blac film their new video BELFAST boy band Wot
Nxt are hoping to take the charts by storm after filming their debut
video at sea.
The group took over the Stena Caledonia for the video for their debut
single Speed of Love.
The lads were keen to promote Belfast in their video, so their
manager Gerry Brown approached Stena Line for permission to board.
"They are local boys and we wanted to use Belfast as a backdrop to
illustrate that," he said.
"They are a great group of lads with loads of talent. Their debut
single Speed of Love was written by Howie of the Backstreet Boys so
they have great support within the music industry."
The band, which has also received local support from River Island and
Peter Marks, hope to release the single onboard the Stena HSS in
September.
Captain of the Stena Caledonia Robin White said he was delighted to
welcome the boys on board the ship.
"At Stena Line we are always keen to support local talent in any way
we can and it was a pleasure to have Wot Nxt filming on board the
Stena Caledonia," he said.
"They were kind enough to leave me a copy of the single and I must
admit, it is very catchy.
"We are looking forward to seeing our ship appear in the video and we
wish them all the best for the future."
