Howie B

Howie B was born in Glasgow, Scotland 1963. He studied psychology Manchester University, then started in studios as tea boy, then tape operator, then assistant engineer. For three years was assistant to soundtrack Composer Stanley Myers. Howie B's music experience is impressive starting as an ex-member of Nomad Soul, has worked on movie soundtracks including Wim Wenders' "End of Violence." and mixing the "Mission Impossible" theme performed by U2's Adam Clayton & Larry Mullen.

In 1996 Howie B released the critically acclaimed Music For Babies and the short film by Run Wrake to accompany Music For Babies has won numerous awards including " Best Music Promo" - LA Worldwide Animation Festival, "Special Distinction Award" - U.S. 76th Designers and Art Directors Awards, and "Nominee for Best Animated European Film" - Cartoon D'or, Cannes

As producer/remixer/writer, Howie B has collaborated with artists as diverse as Soul II Soul, Bjork, U2 / Brian Eno / Pavarotti (as member of Passengers project), U2 (Co-Producer of 'Pop'), Annie Lennox, Robbie Robertson, Everything But The Girl, Ry Cooder, Baaba Maal, Luscious Jackson, New Order, Tricky, Skylab, Gavin Friday and others.

Howie B is also the owner of Pussyfoot Records, the groundbreaking label specializing in experimental music
