06-09-98: MTV Searches for Geri's replacement -- SEASIDE HEIGHTS, N.J. (AP)
MTV is conducting its own search for a new Spice Girl to take Ginger Spice's place. Auditions are today in Seaside Heights, N.J., for women 18 to 28 years old. MTV will choose a winner from among the top ten finalists. The winner gets tickets and backstage passes to the Spice Girls' upcoming concert at Madison Square Garden in New York. She'll also get to present her audition tape to the four remaining members of the group.
