07-02-98: Fairy Spices Cannot Wish Away Geri
The Spice Girls transform into fairies in their latest spell binding video, but they could not wish away departed member Geri Halliwell. Ginger Spice is magically restored to the group in the animated video for Viva Forever, which was commissioned months before the split, from award-winning Aardman Animations, the studio behind Wallace and Gromit. Video director Steve Box said: "It would have been impossible to edit Geri out without doing the whole thing again, and to do them credit, nobody asked me to try."
