Dustin kickass guitar lessons presents:  Suicide Solution

In this lesson, you will earn to play the Ozzy classic, "Suicide Solution".  It is suprisingly easy to play.  To kind of
emulate the Randy Rhoads sound in this song, turn up all of the High and Low EQ's, and put in some decent Mid's somewhere
in there, like say around 4 or 5.  Put in just a little bit of reverb after that, and you've got a pretty good emulation
of the sound.  It helps a lot if you are using Seymour Duncan TB-4 pickups at the bridge posisition (the exact same pickup
found on the RR-1 model by Jackson).

This first example is the intro.  Just hammer on to the 17th fret and slowly slide your way down the fretboard, then
go on with it.

You can either use your pinky finger to bend the last note up and release it, or use the whammy bar.  Same difference.

Nothing much in this example, just follow along with the recording.  The sound bit is examples 2 and 3 put together.

In this next example, you will be shifting posisitions quite frequently.  Just remember to palm mute when necessary and keep
good rythm.  After repeating this bit, go back to Example 3, then back to the verse riff (Ex.2).

This next part is kind of long.  Randy uses the whammy bar in this one to make the sound kind of "echo".  What I have tabbed here is the way I like to play it, which sounds a lot like the original, with a few things added in.  Just take out the add-ins and you've got the original song.  Just keep the first note sustained for about 2 measures, then pick slide and hit the second note.  That easy.  All of the vibrato marks stand for pressing down on the whammy bar really quick and bringing it back up, and for each mark, you press down on the bar that number of times.  If you don't understand this just by reading, listen to the clip and you'll understand.  After playing this whole thing, go back to the intro.

I do not have the last part tabbed out, I'm sorry.  All he does is some weird stuff on his guitar with his whammy bar.
It's so short that you could just improv the whole thing and no one would really notice.  I am also thinking about tabbing
out his guitar solo from the Randy Rhoads Tribute CD and putting it in this lesson.  Email me and tell me whether I should
or not, because I will only if you want me to.
