Painted People Part Three

The Rape of Craeval

One of The Six Trials of The Sinneballachan

Track Time - 22.32 UK CD Price £12.00 + 1.00 P&P

In this piece, Torcull must stop the never-ending rape of Craeval who has been drugged and kidnapped by the Sithein Fairies. Craeval was the most beautiful woman in The Land of The Picts, and much sought after by suitors from many lands for her hand in marriage. Torcull, The Prince of The Picts, on the death of his father Ailpean, has been given the task amongst others from freeing Craeval from a fate worse than death itself. It was said that no man looked at Craeval and was not to fall in love with her at first sight. When she was born, the old crone Gaedil in jealous hatred for her mother Kartal had spun a spell around Craeval. Torcull sets off for Dunbroghan to consult The Broghan Seer about how to set Craeval free from The Sithein Fairies on Traigh nam Marbh - The Strand of the Dead.
