Barry Larkin
Cincinnati Reds, Shortstop
Barry Larkin has been the most consistent player for the Cincinnati Reds for the past 15 years, with his ninth season over the .300 mark in 2000, and 2000 career hits. Winner of 9 Silver Slugger Awards and 3 Gold Glove Awards, as well as the first shortstop ever to hit 30 home runs and steal 30 bases in a single season, Larkin has proven himself to be one of the most versatile and dependable shortstops in recent history. He is an 11-time All-Star, won the Roberto Clemente Award in 1993, and was named the National League Most Valuable Player in 1995. Add to that a World Series Championship in 1990, and Larkin looks to be an obvious choice for future Hall of Fame enshrinement.
