After eleven years in the northwest, Ken Griffey, Jr., was traded by the Seattle Mariners to the Cincinnati Reds on February 10, 2000. During his tenure in Seattle, however, Griffey became one of the best players in all of baseball. In the 2000 season, his first with the Reds, Griffey reached the 400 home run mark for his career. He is also closing in on the 2000-hit mark and has a career batting average of .296. Hank Aaron has said that he believes Griffey has the best chance of anyone in the majors of breaking the career home run record of 755.
