Roger Clemens
Boston Red Sox, Toronto Blue Jays, New York Yankees
Pitcher
"The Rocket" has been nothing short of phenomenal in his 18-year career. 20 wins short of 300 for his career, he is the only active pitcher within striking distance of the mark (only three other active pitchers have 200 wins). Clemens has the most Cy Young Awards of any pitcher in history, winning his sixth in 2001. He is the only pitcher to win the award with three different teams. He also took home the AL MVP trophy in 1986 while with the Red Sox. Clemens is third on the all-time list for strikeouts, and has led the league in that category 5 times. He has also lead the AL in ERA six times, his best mark 1.93 in 1990. Clemens is not one to fold under pressure, either. In 6 World Series games, he has a 3-0 record with a 1.56 ERA and 43 strikeouts. When he finally decides to stop intimidating opposing batters, Clemens will undoubtedly be a first-ballot Hall of Famer.
