match of the day...

#2 Mariah Careh

Skinny songstress Mariah Carey can hit notes in eight different octaves and is contractually obliged to do so for at least 20 seconds in every song she sings. Sony records insisted on this clause as an experiment into as yet unexploited canine market. " Twenty per-cent of households in America have a pet dog. That's a big market and we believe that Mariah can open the door for us.", a Sony spokesperson told match of the day.

But life has its ups-and-downs, even for someone as successful as miniscule Mariah. After a long and happy marriage to Sony supremo Tommy Copolla, that, purely coincedently, saw her rise from complete obscurity to international superstar, the couple parted company. Mariah called aopn a little known piece of Californian law that allows divorce proceedings to commence if "...the coniving party of the first part has used the rich, influential boss of one of the worlds biggest record companies (the party of the second part) as much as she needs to."

Mariahs' concern for world affairs was highlighted recently when she said "I would love to be as skinny as all those Etheopians. But without the famine, obviously!" Well, who are we to argue? One thing's for sure. I bet old Tommy kicking himself, now that the pounds are simply falling off gorgeous Mariah!

Happily, Mariah is now back doing what she loves best; singing those wonderful, heartfelt ballads in an octave that we can't hear. But who couldn't love those all time classics- "Throwing-up Is So Hard To Do" "Fool If You Think I'm Over (6 stone) and from her little known country album "Don't Walk Over The Cattle Grid".
