WINDBER MARCHING BAND HOMEPAGE!!!

The Windber Area High School Marching Band is a small band....and man do I mean small. The band is under the direction of the ever famous Mr. Larry (Chuck) McGiboney. This page is about the band's 1998-1999 competition year. For two years we have been fighting to regain the Chapter Championship which was once ours and we somehow lost........and for two years we've been very much in the running and came very close to taking it back last year but for some reason the Central Martinsburg band just keeps pushing us out of the way. Well this year it will be no more because we will not stand for it any more!! We are hoping this year to be one of the best we have had yet. With ofcourse Mr. McGiboney directing and leading the band, The Ever Famous Nancy (don't know how to spell her last name so I'll spare her the embarassment) leading the majorettes, and our one and only Kristy Voyko pushing the guard to their limit (and I mean limit) we hope this year to be the turn around and are going to try and recapture the Chapter Championship Title that was once ours and we are determined to make ours again!!

Our Band does more than just participate in competitions, parades, and football games. Our school also provides us with a Indoor Percussion, Indoor Majorettes, and Indoor Guard. There will be updates in these groups once the season starts.

The people in our band also participate in district, region, state, town, and county bands. There will be updates on these activities once they start. (Which will be soon)
