5. “If” (in verse 1) – unconditional

8. “Being of one mind” – unity of purpose
9. “Strife” – selfish ambition
10. “Vainglory” – empty glory
11. Lowliness of mind – humbleness
12. Esteem – consider
13. False Humility – acting out humbleness but proud inside
14. True Humility – considering others before self
15. “Look” (v.4) –
16. “Things” (v.4) – both physical and spiritual
Know where in Philippians 2:1-11 that the “Mind of Christ” is explicitly taught (prescribed) & and where it is exemplified (described).
Be especially familiar with the life lessons made on verses 4,5, 9-11
a). Selflessness
cannot be an occasional occurrence
b). Don’t call your job a “ministry” if you are not going to “minister” to people
a). In order to “have the mind of Christ in the body of Christ, you must change your thinking!
Lessons from V.9-11
a). Let God lift you up!
b). God can lift you up better than you can lift yourself
up.
c). Unity, Humility, and Selflessness will bring glory to
God.
d). Remember that God of heaven and earth has specifically called you to lead his flock!
