JimDog in the Green!
Wyles shades Barnes

The first major of the season was settled between the two hot players at that time - JimDog who had assumed the mantle of "tour top dog" early doors, and ErnieB , the champ level specialist who had earlier stunned the LDSD world with a 49 in the World Cup at Latrobe. With fairly easy conditions and a forgiving course, the scoring was always going to be exceptional and Jims final total of 54 under par was a wonderful testament to his golfing prowess. The green jacket never fitted anyone quite so well .....

Nike Tours:

Masters Tier: Krokus
Pro Tier: BoomerBaz
Amateur Tier: Dingo
Club Tier: Kicker

Krokus won the first of his bunch of majors and came 7th overall, while BoomerBaz won pro and Dingo the amateur - both these would leave the tour before the end of the year. German golfer Kicker would win the club event to complete a super start to the season for him.
