TANKER AIRLIFT CONTROL CENTER |
The Tanker Airlift Control Center (TACC), Headquarters Virtual Air Mobility Command, located at Scott Air Force Base, Ill., is the command’s hub for planning and directing tanker and transport aircraft operations around the world. Created to centralize command and control responsibilities previously located in the numbered air forces and airlift divisions, the TACC is dedicated to providing quality service to you, our customer. In effect, the TACC is "one-stop shopping," which brings customers and suppliers together to efficiently and effectively accomplish V AMC’s Global Reach mission. The TACC has the resources and talent to task, schedule, execute, and recover all TACC missions--airlift, air refueling, aeromedical, and operational support. The TACC is a single integrated team: a great idea that works--all people who touch a mission, working together. The success of this effort depends on key V AMC team members--the TACC, commanders at all levels, crews, support folks, and customers. The TACC gives aircrews a mission, the necessary support, and the tools they need. They are responsible with the authority for the mission. The TACC is a true service organization and a goal-oriented partner in tomorrow’s Air Force.
