Downloaded from fsaerospace.tripod.com FS Aerospace Central v2 AERONCA LB (LA,LC) By Jerry Arzdorf 10/21/96 This is a plane of which I know little about. The plans are from Paul Matt's drawing book. I don't know how many were made or if any are left. If you know more about these planes I would like to hear from you. I tried to add the little touches that are on the print. Look for the pitot tube sticking up from the left wing. Hanging down from both wings are static balance weights. The three circles on the top, left fuselage are flare tubes. There are no flaps but instead a spoiler on the bottom between the wings. It is actuated by the flaps and has different setting. There are aluminum strips covering the wing joints. The top windows are amber tinted. There is a landing light under the left wing. Just watch it pop down when you turn on the lights. This is not a racer or stunt plane. It just flys easy and slow. Cruise is about 100 mph. The LeBlond 85 hp engine has just enough power to get you there and back. Range is 500 miles. Not being a large plane it will only hold you and a friend. The wing span is 36 ft and it's 22 ft long. Loaded it weighs about 1700 lbs. The color is supposed to be "Loening yellow" what ever that is. This is Strainware because it's getting to be a strain to finish these little planes. It can be used for anyone's enjoyment. Just don't sell it without getting me my cut. If you need instructions send me E-Mail. AFX is available but is a mess and you really don't want to change anything do you? Let me know if you like it or hate it, I can take it.
