About me...
I have no idea why you came to this page, I'm just your average Joe.

Who I am
My name is Todd, I was born in Surrey, British Columbia, (A suburb of Vancouver), on Aug. 6 1963. I went to James Ardiel Elementary, Len Shepherd Jr. high, and Queen Elizabeth Sr. high schools. My father, Curt, is a printer, (he instructs now), he and my mother split when I was about 9 years old. My mother, Linda, has held several jobs, most were ventures run from home so she could be there for us littl'uns. She remarried when I was 13, to a policeman, Roger  (sheer hell trying to get away with anything now!). I have a sister, Kim, 2 years my senior, and a brother, Craig, 6 years my junior. Along with the remarriage, came a stepbrother, Greg, one year my junior, and a stepsister, Dayna, 3 years my junior. At long last, I wasn't the middle child anymore! But try getting a seat at the dinner table!. That about covers the formative years.

When I was 18, I was handed my things and shown the door. From there, I rattled from party to party, and couch to couch, until I found a nice rooming house environment to settle into. The guy, Ernest, that ran the joint took me under his wing and made a valliant attempt to point me in the right direction. The girls that I went with had more powers of persuasion and made sure that all of his hard work was undone. Ernest and I are still very good friends today, despite all that.

Those were the pre Christine years. I know, that's the name of a car in a Steven King novel that was possessed,  but she's hardly like that at all... Her fenders are much smaller... (Don't worry, she'll have a good chuckle over that one). Chris and I met in a bar on a balmy night in July, 1985. It was about a month before my 22nd birthday, and about a month and a half before her 33rd birthday. I think it was in early Sept. that she finally screwed up the courage to ask my age. After the Paramedics left, she decided that the age difference wasn't really an issue. It was around that time that I got to meet her 2 beautiful children. At that time, Wendy was 11 and Trista was 7.

In the spring of 1986, Chris decided that I was hanging around way too much, and that it would be more financially feasible if I were to move in. By then all of the background checks had been done, and I was cleared of all charges of being a "wierdo", even though evidence clearly pointed to my guilt in several categories, just not the important ones, I suppose. Then around Oct. 1988, after going to bed, she muttered something about a "Holy Headlock"... My first reaction was to run for the hills, but she had the keys for the car hidden in her purse. (I'm always afraid to look in there for fear of what I might find). I carefully formulated my answer... I opened my mouth to say "NO WAY!!!", the words I heard emanate from my face sounded just like that too... I said "okay". We were married on July 29, 1989.

Since then, Chris was reunited with her other daughter, Melissa... 16 year old girls were not supposed to have children in the early '60s, so Melissa was adopted out... Along with that good news, there are 2 grandkids, Zoey and Sage. They all live in Indiana. We've bought a house. Wendy and Trista have moved out on their own. And life is good.

What I did/do for a living
I rattled around for some time doing whatever was necessary to make a buck, (witin the law). I lasted the longest working as a swamper on a newpaper delivery truck and roofing. During that time, I realized that I liked, and was pretty good at auto repair. I took a course at Kwantlen College in auto repair, looked everywhere for work, and found out that any prospective employers hate anyone from that course. But, with persistance, (and a name to drop), I got my chance. I worked at a tire store as an Alignment Tech/Tireboy/Joeboy. When that company went belly up, I decided to strike out on my own. Until Chris told me to find work. This time, I got work at another tire store with the help from the Licensed Tech that also worked at the previous tire store. I was pretty sure that this store wouldn't go belly up since it's name was Goodyear. Goodyear hired me on as an Alignment Tech/Tireboy/Joeboy. I finally impressed them with my amazing abilities, and they signed me onto the apprenticeship program. I finally got my Automotive Tech license. Then they sold out to another company. Don't get me wrong, that company still exists, we just don't see eye to eye. I worked for them for a while, then a golden opportunity arose to buy my own shop. I've been doing that for almost 3 years now. It's just me, my wrenches, and the customers so far... I hope to be able to expand and become an Entrepreneur.
