ACCURATE FOR HUNTING.

THIS RETICULE IS DESIGNED FOR

LEVEL SHOOTING, MAKING ZEROING

EASY.

THREE DOTS DESIGNED FOR LEVEL,

ACCURATE SHOOTING.

THIS RETICULE IS GOOD FOR GETTING

YOUR TARGET INTO THE CENTRE

OF YOUR SIGHT.

THIS RETICULE IS THE SAME AS

ABOVE, BUT HAS AN EXTRA RING FOR

GREATER ACCURACY.

THIS RETICULE IS GOOD FOR LEVEL

SHOOTING, PLUS IT HAS A DOT FOR

GREATER ACCURACY.

SCOPE RANGES

THE RANGE ON YOUR SCOPE IS THE MAGNIFACTIONxLIGHT GATHERING

FOR EXAMPLE, IF YOUR SCOPE IS A 4x20

THEN IT HAS A 4x MAGNIFACTION, AND A 20mmFRONT LENSE

SOME SCOPES HAVE AJUSTABLE MAGNIFACTION:

IF YOU HAD A 3-9x40 SCOPE:

THEN THE MAGNIFACTION WOULD BE BETWEEN 3-9x

AND THE FRONT LENSE WOULD BE 40mm IN DIAMITER.

 

SCOPE TERMS

Here are some terms used when using a scope

DIAL-IN RANGE

when a scope has a parallax ring, you can ajust the focus. by

fine focusing, you can read off the range.

HOLD UNDER

used to describe how much you must aim the cross hairs under

your target, to hit centre.

HOLD OVER

used to describe how much you must aim the cross hairs over

your target, to hit centre.

WINDAGE

is used to describe the horazontal ajustment on your scope.

ELEVATION

is used to describe the vertical ajustment on your scope.

DRIFT

describes the path of a projectile is wind, e.g the bullet drifted

to the left of the zero.

DROP

describes the path of a projectile over a distance e.g the bullet

dropped 2cm over 50metres.

ZERO

when the impact of a projectile is lined-up with the centre of

the cross-hair the scope is 'zeroed'.

RETICULE

the reticule is the picture that is seen in front of the target,

it is usually a cross.

CROSSHAIR

the point in the centre of the picture where the aim points meet.
