I once had a dream I held close, A dream that all things were good. Now I realize that dream is wrong, Now I know what I should. All things in life are corrupt, Nothing is truly pure. No one is perfect, all are sinful, Of this I'm completely sure. I trusted in a few and was let down, My heart has caved in and crumbled. That once bright sparkle in my eye, Is gone, and now I have tumbled Down the empty black pit of despair, Where no one can help or save me, Except for my creator above, Who stands by my side faithfully.
