The cool breeze shifts through the bright green trees, And a sparrow tweets as it lands on the leaves. The flowers are blooming, so bright and beautifully, While the animals run around the forest with glee. Summertime comes and summertime fades, And then comes fall, with all of it's shades Of green and red and yellow leaves, All of them are aimed to please The eyes of all who wonder through, But sadly, winter says this cannot do. Winter comes sweeping down in a rush, To turn all of the pretty sights into a mush Of snow and ice, while nasty old winter doesn't think twice About taking away beauty, and all that was once nice. And now everything that once was is dead, But the memory forever shall live on in your head.
