General Introduction.
Welcome to A Merging of Fates. A Multi-User Dungeon (a MUD). A Merging of fates is, in My opinion, the BEST MUD on the Internet today. The Main god is Sharhazad, and there are many more immortals, but all of those are covered on the immortals page.
A MUD is a place where peoples of the world all go to escape reality, and take a break from everyday life. To kill LEGALLY!
Starting off
The Mud Starts you off in the main city of Midgaard. All you have to do is go Up into Mud School. There you will get some basic equipment to help you start you off, a trainer and Guildmaster to help you get your skills up. After MUD school, you will be ready to face the many, many opponents you will face in the MUD. Some are MUCH harder than others, and some are easier.
Skills
There are also many skills to be gained and learned. Some new skills are added frequently, and these are always well proportioned. The most popular class for this mud is a thief, since they have the powerful Circle skill and the Backstab skill. New Warrior, Cleric, Mage, Paladin, and Ranger skills are being added to make up for this imbalance.
Even if you are a warrior, you still can learn spells. The group is the "attack" group, and gives you some pretty good spells such as Flamestrike, Earthquake, and Demonfire.
The Abilities and their Functions are right here.
Wisdom: It gives you more Practices per lvl, so that you may get your skills higher.
Intelligence: When you have a higher intelligence, you get more out of every practice session. Basically if you have a High intelligence, you pick up things more quickly, whereas if you are Stupid, Low Intelligence, it takes you longer to get the hang of things.
Strength: Your power. This will let you carry and hold more weight and items. If you are a weakling, you can't go around with 200 lb armor strapped to your body and can't hold a 30 pound broadsword.
Dexterity: Your ability to move quickly, to dodge hits and to pick pockets if you are A thief. A Thief with stiff fingers ain't gunna get the jewels out of a fat mans purse.
Hit Points: Yes you can train your hit points. This should be the last thing trained.
Mana: Same goes for Mana Points. Train mana when all your other skills are maxed out.
Equipment
The MUD has some very good weapons also, as well as equipment. Some go with the medieval theme, some are way different and weird, such as the weapons ane other Equipment found in Math land. There is the Translucent Robe, which allows you to pass through doors as if they were not there, and the Dragon Equipment which gives you extra qualities, such as Dexterity, Strength, Wisdom, and Intelligence.
